Multiplan is supporting the "Rio Continues Beautiful. And Close!” project. Organized by the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur-RJ) and the Rio de Janeiro State Tourism Company (TurisRio) in partnership with Fecomércio, the Rio de Janeiro Association of Hotels (ABIH-RJ) and Multiplan, it aims to promote Rio de Janeiro state and bolster the flow of tourists in the high season, aiming for the summer of 2022.
The campaign involves promotional booths set up in the BarraShopping (RJ), RibeirãoShopping (SP), BH Shopping (MG), ShoppingAnáliaFranco (SP) and ParkShopping (DF) malls. The spaces are designed to attract attention through large images of cities in the state. In addition, mall-goers will get a distinctive experience: 3D videos of Rio de Janeiro. The intention is to provide an amusing outing, allowing future tourists to feel as if they were actually inserted into one of the cities of Rio de Janeiro state presented in the films, and choose them as their next travel destination. The first stands, inaugurated on October 8, were in Rio de Janeiro and Ribeirão Preto. In the first weekend alone, about a thousand people visited the stands of the "Rio Continues Beautiful. And close by!" project
“Similar to commerce and shopping centers, the tourism sector is one of Rio's vocations and helps drive the economy and promote economic and social growth," says Vander Giordano, Multiplan's Vice President of Institutional Affairs, regarding the satisfaction of being able to open the doors of the malls to contribute to the development of tourism. "Multiplan was founded in Rio and is proud to generate more than 20,000 direct jobs here. We continue investing in the city with the construction of ParkJacarepaguá, our 20th shopping center, which will open in November. And it is the only project in Rio that will generate 4,000 direct jobs in one location," he adds.
The promotional action is also aimed at developing business opportunities. The "Rio is Yours" commercial meeting, which will takes in parallel, will bring together tourism service providers and buyers from the issuing markets, such as travel agencies and tour operators.
The project's stands will be at BarraShopping and RibeirãoShopping until October 17. Between October 22-31, BH Shopping receives the action. To close the Rio de Janeiro tour through the Multiplan shopping centers, the project lands at ShoppingAnáliaFranco and ParkShopping between November 5-14.
