About The Mall

ParkJacarepaguá: Multiplan's most modern shopping center

Multiplan's 20th shopping center opened in November 2021 and offers the convenience and quality of the company's shopping centers, including major brands and attractions for the whole family in the Jacarepaguá region. It offers more than 230 stores, a supermarket, a fitness center, a multi-purpose event center with capacity for 1,000 people, the largest permanent ice-skating rink in Rio de Janeiro, six stadium movie theaters, a HotZone amusement park with almost 100 playthings, many food options, a gourmet boulevard, and two outdoor terraces - one for kids. The complex also has two outside parks totaling 6,000 square meters, including a children's playground (Parque da Magia), a space for pets (ParCão), and an event square with an amphitheater and a giant (150 m²) LED screen.

ParkJacarepaguá was designed and built using the most modern sustainable technologies and following the best environmental practices, and was readied in advance to obtain the LEED seal of approval. Among the highlights are the use of natural light, with high-performance glass and a 500-m² central skylight, and the solar power plant, one of the largest in the city, installed in a 16,000-m² area on its roof. The mall also has its own effluent treatment station, generating savings of about 35% in drinking water consumption; a system for reusing rainwater, for irrigation purposes; reuse of gray water in toilets and urinals; sensors in the bathrooms that will contribute to the conscious use of water; escalators with activation sensors according to the frequency of use; and a more modern and sustainable, intelligent air-conditioning system, which contributes to savings of 20% in the mall's energy consumption.

ParkJacarepaguá is Multiplan's fifth shopping center in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The mall serves a population estimated at around 700,000 inhabitants where there is enormous demand for services, commerce and leisure - in addition to being a generator of about 8,000 direct and indirect jobs.
