7th EXPANSION BarraShopping. Growing to stay a favorite among Rio de Janeiro shoppers
Just like Barra de Tijuca neighborhood, BarraShopping has grown non-stop for 30 years now. What started out as a shopping mall has become a reference point for the sector, one of the continent’s largest multi-purpose complexes.
Its seventh expansion project offers spacious, pleasant environments with more stores, services, entertainment choices and comfort for consumers and storeowners. There is more than 9,500 m2 gross leasable area (GLA), 45 stores and 2 levels of offices available for rental with a total 4,000 m2, in addition to 628 indoor parking spaces with direct mall access. Scheduled for inauguration: May 2014.
BarraShopping strongly identifies with the city and Rio de Janeiro natives maintain a warm relationship with the complex. For the last two years it has been chosen as the city's favorite shopping mall in a contest organized by O Globo newspaper.
In a prime location and within the BarraShoppingSul complex, Diamond Tower combines convenience and functionality in that it is connected to a residential development, Résidence du Lac. The bold design includes the main facade in semi-reflective glass cladding, highlighting the view of the Guaíba River. Diamond Tower offers 273 office suites with flexible layouts in 13,855 m² of private built area. The tower also has two meeting rooms, an auditorium, seven elevators – with exclusive service – and a separate underground garage. Potential sales volume (PSV) is estimated at BRL 121.9 million. It is also part of the Crystal Tower complex, an office tower delivered to owners in August 2011.
With a bold architectural design, Résidence du Lac offers the public in the neighborhood of Cristal convenience and quality of life by combining work, housing, services, shopping and leisure. Integrated with the BarraShoppingSul complex, the project will have 23 floors, totaling 9,960 m² of private built area. There will be 40 apartments ranging in size from 61 m² to 160 m² and studio apartments of 43.5 m² and 52 m².
With a permanent frontal view of the Guaíba River, all the units will have a barbecue and one or two covered parking spaces. It also has two floors devoted to leisure and health. Potential Sales Value (PSV) is estimated at BRL 101.6 million and the project is scheduled for delivery during the first half of 2014.
